During Paul’s 30 year career he has occupied a range of positions leading up to executive and director roles in media and technology related companies spanning multiple continents. During his pre-consulting years he has gained invaluable firsthand experience related to many aspects of managing and leading within multi-cultural environments. These roles include Chief Operating Officer of an international online gaming organisation, Chief Technical Officer of MIH Asia based in Beijing, part of the founding team of 24.com and all related online sites. This included work in South Africa, Beijing, Gibraltar and the USA.
After completing an MBA at the University of Stellenbosch Business School and a Master’s thesis covering the areas of Leadership and Coaching, Paul changed his focus to consulting and assisting companies achieve higher levels of sustainable performance.
For the past 17 years, Paul has consulted to numerous clients in the areas of High Performance Leadership, Culture Change, Business Improvement, Leadership Development, Team Development, Strategy and Transformation. Paul coaches certain of his executive clients. His clients range from medium sized enterprises to parastatals across numerous sectors including Mining, Utilities, Financial, Automotive, Petrochemical, Health, Retail, Technology, Construction, Cellular and others.
Paul is passionate about health, sustainability and potential. He believes that many of the values that drive him were formed in his childhood years, when he managed to overcome a severe health issue. For this reason he is passionate about helping companies become long-term sustainable. He is dedicated to his wife and two children and always sets time aside for exercise in the form of road running and mountain biking. H e has completed The ABSA Cape Epic, various other mountain stage races and numerous road running marathons and ultra-marathon events over the years. Many of his personal values influence his work, leaving him with a passion for people, potential and sustainability.
